Dr. Rima Nandi is one of the best Paediatric dentist (Paedodontist) working in Kolkata. She is young and enthusiastic, with thorough knowledge of her subject. Her special interest is aesthetics and smile beautification.
She received her graduation ‘Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)’ degree from the very reputed institute ‘The Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, Bhubaneswar’. She had acquired her interest in paediatric dentistry from her undergraduate days, and soon completed her Post-Graduate ‘Master of Dental Surgery (MDS)’ degree in Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry from Awadh Dental College and Hospital, Jamshedpur. The Paediatric department in Awadh Dental College and Hospitals, is one of the busiest in the country, where Dr. Rima Nandi was exposed to all varieties of paediatric cases. Her special interest in ‘aesthetics’ took her to Vellore, where she completed a Long term ‘Observer-ship in Laser Dentistry’. She is also awarded with ‘Fellowship in Academy General Education (FAGE)’ from Manipal University. She also completed one-year long duration teeth realignment training. ( FIXED ORTHODONTICS) She is also trained in with the procedure of conscious sedation ( sleep dentistry) .
From college days, she is interested in research activities and participated actively in presentations and baged many prizes. Her research on ‘Regeneration of tooth’ was appreciated by Indian Dental Association Conference in Bhubaneswar, and bagged first runner-up prize. She always had an interest in recent advances, her research work on ‘Botox-Broadening the horizon of Dentistry’ was awarded as second runner-up in Indian Dental Association- Asansol. She is an active member of the Indian Society Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry and presented her research work in their annual conferences. Dr.Rima Nandi is also author of numerous publications towards paediatric population.
