Congenital Vertical Talus (CVT)

Post Feature Image

CVT is the second common foot deformity. In this disease the angle of the talus bone is vertically oriented and hence the shape of the foot becomes plano-valgus, a deformity opposite to that of clubfoot. This forms a rigid plano-valgus deformity which frequently requires surgical correction. Sometimes in neonatal age plaster cast “reverse ponseti” can be applied for correction.

Two years old boy with bilateral vertical talus-corrective surgery was done to get the correct alignment of the talus and restore the arch of the foot.
