Also known as endodontic treatment, is a procedure which removes the infected pulp portion of the teeth which carries blood vessels and nerves. The procedure removes the pain and helps to save the tooth from extraction by cleaning and shaping till the roots.

Indications –
- Decayed tooth/ cavity – when dental caries reaches the pulp portion of the teeth ( soft tissue area of the tooth) it becomes infected or inflamed causing pain, swelling and pus formation.
- Damage to the pulp/ trauma – deep cracks, fractures or injuries to the tooth can also expose the pulp, leading to infection.
- Excessive sensitivity
