Aligners or invisible braces are clear and transparent braces. They also correct the alignment of teeth or straighten the teeth. The conventional braces the mostly upgraded with aligners.

Indications of aligners are mild to moderate malalignment, spacing between the teeth, overcrowding of the teeth and minor bite correction

Advantages –

Its invisible so more aesthetic for the patient. It is easily removed and reapplied by patient, hence easy and comfortable to use. The dental visits are reduced. Due to removable nature of the brace, over-all oral hygiene can be maintained throughout.

Disadvantages –

Patient co-operation in using the brace is required. Correction of moderate -severe  forms of malalignment  are not achieved as desired.
