2. Dental Restoration/filling –

Glass ionomer cement – It is a tooth coloured, fluoride releasing restorative material. Commonly indicated for children due to its ability to release fluoride. It is a brittle material and wears off easily so used in non – stress bearing areas of tooth.
Composite filling— The best thing about this material which makes it better than Glass ionomer is its strength and range of shades available according to the colour of tooth.
A blue light cure is used to set the cement.

2. Pulp therapy / Pulpectomy – If the decay is not treated it reaches the nerve of the tooth which results in severe pain and swelling. In such cases it is mandatory to clean the infected pulp and fill it with the biocompatible cement best for your child. This is known as pulpectomy. Temporary teeth caries, If not treated than infection can hamper the development of permanent teeth.

Apexification — It is a method of inducing apical closure, or form a calcific barrier for non-vital immature permanent teeth (adolescence stage). It is a natural tooth preserving method.
